BGA is one of Sweden's largest rights agencies, making over 350 deals a year.
The agency handles foreign rights and film rights on behalf of a selection of Swedish authors published by Albert Bonniers, Forum, Wahlström&Widstrand, Bonnier Fakta and Bonnier Carlsen. The agency represents their authors internationally and in the movie/ TV business. They are five agents divided by genre; fiction, non-fiction (illustrated and literary non-fiction), children's and YA books and we handle everything from submission to contract, including co-productions.

Profile we are looking for:
Someone today working in foreign rights, editorial or production.
What the work will consist of:
Fiction, literary non-fiction, and children's/ YA fiction:
- prepare and follow-up submissions,
- making sales kits for different authors/ books (folders, sample translations, author bio, author photos, book description etc),
- up-date the BGA web site,
- schedule fair meetings,
- maintain and up-date our international network of publishers,
- take part in book fairs,
- do meetings at fairs and outside of fairs,
- work with our database,
- handle negotiations and contracts,
- follow-up sales with reviews, sales figures, news etc.
Illustrated books/ co-productions:
- selling and administrating co-productions (children's and illustrated non-fiction),
- prepare sales and marketing materials,
- take part in book fairs,
- handle negotiations with both printer and publisher,
- co-ordinate materials, publishers and printings with the Swedish publisher/ printer,
- handle invoicing,
- handle follow-up
Necessary qualifications:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, preferably one additional language
- Experience of negotiations, contracts and deal making
- Strong team working and communication skills
- A diplomatic nature and a skill for detail and organisation
