For some 250 Bonnier employees, GRID was a chance to be surprised, get inspired and network.

Everything was about passion at Winterviken in Stockholm, the scene for GRID10 on Sept. 6-7. From innovative typeface design to unthinkable chocolate combinations, a language invented for Avatar to a Bach violin sonata, some 250 Bonnier employees had plenty to be inspired by.
 
GRID, which has been held annually since 2008 and is exclusively for Bonnier employees from all parts of Bonnier, is more than a conference.

ToppLoppet and Other Races a Hit for Bonnier

The latest race from Bonnier companies, ToppHälsa's ToppLoppet, is about having fun says Frida Boisen. It's also about cooperation between different Bonnier companies.

This year marks the first ToppLoppet race – set for October 2 in Stockholm's Hagaparken. Frida Boisen, editor-in-chief for Bonniertidskrifter's health and fitness title ToppHälsa, developed the event together with Bonnier Creative.

Sweden's Great Journalist Award On the Horizon

Nominations for Sweden's Great Journalist Award will close in a month. Stefan Mehr, program leader for the prizes, promises some changes at the awards ceremony.

This week begins an ad campaign for nominations for the Great Journalist Award, Sweden's answer to the Pulitzer Prize. The nomination period closes on Sept. 30 and the actual awards will be announced on Nov. 25 at the Rotunda of the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm.

SF Bio Coordinates with Polar Music Prize

In conjunction with the Polar Music Prize, Sweden's most prestigious music award, SF Bio is showing film classics.

Composer Ennio Morricone and musical artist Björk are winners of this year's Polar Music Prize. The prize, which is given out by the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and is the most prestigious music award in Sweden, will be awarded in Stockholm on Aug. 30. In conjunction with the Polar Music Prize, SF Bio cinemas are showing film classics that have a connection with the prize winners at the Skandia movie theater in Stockholm Aug. 27-29.

Radio Nova Helps Ad Agencies Learn the Radio Business

Getting ad agencies up to speed on radio campaigns, Finland's Radio Nova takes a novel approach.

When Finland's Radio Nova realized that advertising agencies had a lot of new people who were working with radio advertising but had little or no experience of radio, the radio station decided to do something to help. The station, which is owned by Bonnier and has offices adjacent to MTV3 in Helsinki, started up a special program in 2009 aimed at changing this. "We wanted these very important people to get a deeper feel of Radio Nova and its people by spending a morning with them," says Arja Suominen, who runs the program at Radio Nova.

Best-selling author Elizabeth Gilbert, American media icon Martha Stewart and Alec Ross, adviser to Hillary Clinton headline the list of speakers at GRID10.

Wildly successful Eat Pray Love author Elizabeth Gilbert will speak at GRID10 in Stockholm this September.
