Position:

Photographer / Editor for the Current Affairs division of TV4 AB

You will record and edit news material for the daily newscasts of the following departments: the News, the Morning News, Sports, Financial News, and the Informational editorial department. TV4 news is also distributed via the internet, radio and cellular phones which means that the material has an expansive broadcast reach.

The position combines the job of a photographer and editor (photojournalist), requiring that you have experience within both fields. You will be working under daily deadlines and must show initiative and creativity when selecting pictures to illustrate your stories. It is essential that you are interested in society at large as well.

The photojournalist works with a reporter out in the field shooting/editing news packages, but is expected to work independently on some projects as well. We often have live broadcasts from current events where your material will be sent home via a uplink vehicle or FTP.

We look for creativity, interest in modern digital technology, and a strong sense of storytelling and drama in our candidate and in the candidate's work.

We edit in Final Cut Pro and we record using Panasonics P2 DVC Pro 50 cameras. The material is processed through a central server and broadcasting is entirely digital.

You will be working on a rotating shift that includes weekends.
