PRODUCTION MANAGER

Bonnier Corporation, a dynamic multimedia publishing company, is looking for a Production Manager to assist with Production Operations

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate placement of partial and full page ads with ad traffic manager.
• Move page files through in-house prepress department for PDF and color proof generation.
• Acquire all ad materials for the issue - which includes overseeing ad builds through our in-house art department.
• Route proofs for edit/sales approval.
• Prepare pages for advertising art and route for necessary approvals.
• Maintain page proofs on display wall and copies of pages in mock-up notebook. Keep prepress updated on page files & scans expected each day or ship extensions.
• Keep magazine team aware of deadlines to stay on schedule and any issues that arise. Advise printing plant on production and prepare printing instructions.
• Ship issue to printer and handle any issues/questions that arise - arrange for delivery of replacement files.  
• Post-production paperwork: Print reviews, invoice approvals, grading edit/production on meeting deadlines.

Requirements:

• Strong print production and previous magazine experience preferred.
• Should have excellent customer service skills (both internal and external) and must be able to handle multiple deadlines and tasks.
• Must know MS Office applications and experience with magazine mapping software is a plus.
