Significant profit improvement for Bonnier Group 2024.

Bonnier Group’s net sales increased to SEK 23,194 million. Operating profit exceeded two billion, the best in recent history, and amounted to SEK 2,124 million.

The year in brief

Bonnier Books reported record sales of SEK 8,392 million with stable profits. BookBeat achieved a positive result, growing revenue by 21%. Publishing operations in Germany, Sweden, Finland, and the UK improved. Operating profit was SEK 684 million, with strengthened cash flow.

Bonnier News improved results in 2024. Digital revenues grew by 12% through more subscriptions and higher prices. +Allt reached over 800,000 subscribers. Readly, where Bonnier News is the main owner, saw significant improvement. Total revenues rose by 4% to SEK 10,172 million. HSS Mediain Finland was acquired.

SF Studios increased EBITA to SEK 52 million despite slightly lower revenue.

Adlibris saw strong public sector e-commerce growth, though total sales remained unchanged. Profits declined slightly. Major investments were made in logistics automation in Morgongåva.

Bonnier Fastigheter increased operating profit through acquisitions and rent hikes. Property value rose to SEK 21,482 million. Despite a cautious office rental market, net leasing was positive. The loan-to-value ratio increased to 44%.

Bonnier Capital managed assets worth SEK 2,483 million and invested SEK 700 million, including SEK 440 million in Safe Life. Holdings in Acast and Natural Cycles gained SEK 400 million in value.

The Group has net debt of SEK 2.6 billion, mainly due to property investments. Bonnier Fastigheter’s liabilities stand at SEK 8.6 billion. The group’s available net cash increased to SEK 6.0 billion.
