Bonnier and Ratos sell Bisnode to Dun & Bradstreet

Dun & Bradstreet acquires the data and analysis company Bisnodefrom Bonnier and Ratos for an enterprise value of approximately SEK 7.2 billion, corresponding to 15 times EBITA 2019.

Bonnier owns 30% of Bisnode and will, after adjusting for net debt, receive a purchase price of approximately SEK 1.7 billion, of which 25% in the form of shares in Dun &Bradstreet which are listed on the NYSE.

The sale provides a capital gain for Bonnier of around SEK 1.2 billion. The transaction is expected to be completed no later than the beginning of 2021 after the usual competition law review.

Bisnode has doubled its profitability over the past four years, despite limited sales growth. Dun & Bradstreet will now enable further growth opportunities and synergies. Bisnode currently has approximately 2,100 employees in 19 countries and a turnover of SEK 3.7 billion.

Dun & Bradstreet is the industry leader in data and analytics with a presence in many countries and market leadership in the United States. The company has sales of USD 1.4 billion and a market value of USD 11 billion.

Bisnode was formed in 2005 by merging Bonnier Affärsinformation with Infodata, which was owned by Ratos. Dun & Bradstreet is an important partner as a supplier of data andservices to Bisnode.

“Through this deal, Bonnier is further strengthening an already strong cash, which forms the basis for investments in both our existing operations and in new areas,” says Erik Haegerstrand, CEO of Bonnier Group.
