New Editor-in-Chief for Helsingborgs Dagblad
Jonas Kanje has been named editor-in-chief for southern Swedish daily Helsingborgs Dagblad (HD), succeeding Lars Johansson, who has been editor-in-chief for the paper for nearly nine years.
Kanje will take on his new role in the middle of January. Currently he is head of the news desk for the joint HD-Sydsvenskan.
“I’m extremely happy and even more, humbled by the new position,” says Kanje. “Helsingborgs Dagblad is one of Sweden’s strongest and best local papers, and I hope that I can contribute to the paper’s continued development and it being ever more relevant for our readers. HD should be a natural part of life for people living in the area.”
In conjunction with the switch, Pia Rehnquist, editor-in-chief for Sydsvenskan, will take over as publisher for HD as well.
