Reaching the High End in Style

Competition in the Danish shelter magazine segment – interior design – has been fierce in the last three years, with new titles trying hard to get access to the attractive high-end market, says Erik Rimmer, editor-in-chief for Bo Bedre, which easily maintains its spot at the top of the list. The biggest magazine for interior design, it’s more than twice as big as its closest competitor.

But despite its solid standing, Benjamin Media, the publisher of Bo Bedre, decided to further its position with the launch of a brand new title: Costume Living. “Costume Living is our way of cementing our position as the No. 1 publisher of interior design magazines in Denmark,” says Rimmer.

The new magazine is a modern urban magazine with a more high-end target group than Bo Bedre and building on the existing women’s fashion brand Costume. “The magazine will publish mainly apartment features, focusing on urban living and how design and fashion go hand in hand these days when it comes to trends and style,” says Rimmer.

Every issue will include a trend report and a special section on travel to big European cities.

“The homes in the first issue are international, truly top league, with a feature on a fabulous apartment in Stockholm probably the most outstanding,” says Rimmer.
