The New DN Is Here

For the past year, the editorial team at Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter has been working on developing a completely new  Dagens Nyheter. The first issue of the new paper came out today. The new design and content is the result of asking 20,000 readers what they want.

– It’s exciting that we can finally show our readers what we’ve been working on for so long,” says managing editor Åsa Tillberg. “Although it may seem strange with the changes in the beginning, I hope that readers feel that they’re getting a newspaper with lots of content, is easy to absorb and has sections divided up logically.”

Starting with today’s issue, Dagens Nyheter also includes a Stockholm section, which has its own news desk. Sports will be included in the Stockholm section. The financial pages will become part of the first section of the paper. The format has also gotten a facelift.
