TV4 and SVT on C More

Starting today, C More will offer on its streaming service programming from TV4 and SVT, Sweden’s national public broadcaster. The solution is unique for the Swedish streaming market and premieres in time for this summer’s soccer championships.

C More’s CEO Manfred Aronsson says that customers will have a better user experience and appreciate the wide choice of content.

“It’s a luxury to be anywhere at all and find myself able to choose between live broadcast news or Game of Thrones without having to change apps,” says Aronsson. “It’s particularly practical during the summer, considering all the soccer coverage that TV4 and SVT broadcast.”

The streaming market is the fastest growing market within media and in the past year, C More has grown fastest of all players. Aronsson hopes that the addition of TV4 and SVT will attract even more customers.

“In order to grown in this market, we need to offer users a smooth experience and entertainment that works for individuals, couples, groups of friends and families,” says Aronsson. “Now, C More’s high-quality content is being complemented by the biggest events that all of Sweden watches and talks about.”

The rights for re-transmitting TV4 and SVT proramming is possible in part due to an agreement with Copyswede, which was signed this week. During the European soccer championships, the digital TV channels C More Sport and C More Fotboll will show TV4’s matches commercial-free with half-time studio analysis.
