Website Launched Under New Bonnier Tidskrifter Brand Nya Affärer
With a target group of Swedish entrepreneurs, and NyaAffarer.seis the first product under the Nya Affärer brand which will include events and a print magazine with the first issue released in the fall.
Nya Affärer is part of the business press segment of Bonnier Tidskrifter along with Veckans Affärer, Privata Affärer andPlaceringsguiden. The new brand is the brainchild of Pontus Schultz, publisher for the business press segment, and Privata Affärer’seditor-in-chief Per Hammarlund is responsible under Swedish press law and Veckans Affärer’s web manager Mikael Zackrisson is the project manager and editor for the site.
“Swedish entrepreneurs are important for our economic health,” says Zackrisson. “Some of our 400,000 small businesses will turn into the next Ericsson or H&M. That’s why we want to help entrepreneurs build their companies, with concrete advice and tips, but also foster debate around enterpreneurial issues and try to help politicians understand their needs.”
The combination of advice and providing a platform for debate is what makes Nya Affärer special, says Zackrisson. “We also offer other services around the issues,” he says. “For example, we are starting a mentorship program with prominent Swedish business leaders.”
The biggest challenge is that it is a very choosy audience, with a lot of other things to do than read a magazine, print or on the web, according to Zackrisson. “We need to really show we are creating something new for our readers, regardless of whether it’s smart tips on the site, inspiration or the right people at our events.”
